La formation franco-japonaise nous propose un son ancré dans le jazz post-coltranien des seventies.
Le Tokyo Paris Express a pris son départ en France en 2015. À bord de ce train musical sont embarqués des solistes lumineux qui mettent leurs bagages en commun pour nous transporter dans un voyage autour d’un jazz éclectique et original. Mais leur répertoire, constitué de compositions originales et de clins d’yeux à Steps Ahead, Hisaishi ou aux Rita Mitsouko, est un vaste terrain de jeux où se mêlent et parfois s’affrontent grooves hypnotiques, lignes de basse soul-jazz, mélodies translucides, méditations japonisantes et improvisations incandescentes.
