Sacrée aux Oscars grâce à son adaptation au cinéma, la pièce culte de Florian Zeller revient au théâtre avec Pierre Arditi et Irène Jacob !
André n’est plus tout jeune. C’est ce qui pousse Anne, sa fille, à lui proposer de s’installer dans le grand appartement qu’elle occupe avec son mari. Elle croit ainsi pouvoir aider ce père qu’elle a tant aimé et qui la fait toujours rire. Mais les choses ne se passent pas tout à fait comme prévu : celui qui pose ses valises chez elle se révèle être un personnage étonnant, haut en couleur, et pas du tout décidé à renoncer à son indépendance... On n’accepte pas si facilement de devenir, un jour, l’enfant de nos enfants.
